Hi I’m Lou! I am a yoga teacher and an Ayurvedic practitioner. After 8+ years of daily practice and specialised studies I have observed that each person has individual needs. This is why I adapt my work to the scale of the individual.
I began my yoga journey when I was only 17, having been dealing with a spine deformity (scoliosis). After feeling lost and confused at many conventional studio classes, I soon began my journey with a personalised and therapeutic approach to yoga. I finally felt like it actually made sense.
Soon after being completely transformed by yoga, I found its sister science, Ayurveda. After 4 years of study I became a certified Ayurvedic practitioner at the College of Ayurveda.
During my studies in Ayurvedic hospitals in India, I saw in practice, that yoga and Ayurveda formed a complete system, while we are used to treating them as independent practices here in Europe. I decided to follow this ancient tradition in my way of working.
Seeing how Ayurvedic hospitals function changed my life and really gave me a perspective on what healthcare could be. I then went on to write my dissertation exploring if and how both healthcare perspectives could integrate.
I have learnt to integrate the ancient knowledge I have learnt within modern life. Staying true to its tradition, while making it work for my situation.
